Polyethylene wax & Color Masterbatch

Homopoly polyethylene wax is mainly used in polyolefin masterbatch, including polyethylene masterbatch, polypropylene masterbatch and EVA masterbatch, which plays the role of dispersing pigments and fillers.

Homopoly polyethylene wax from different production routes also have some differences in the application of color masterbatch. Usually, customers can choose different kinds of polyethylene wax according to the terminal application.

(1) If it is applied to garbage bags, garbage cans, mulching films, etc., choose by-product polyethylene wax or pyrolysis polyethylene wax;

(2) If there are requirements for precipitation and smell, choose synthetic polyethylene wax;

(3) If there are strict requirements for odor and temperature resistance, choose Ziegler Natta or metallocene polymerized polyethylene wax.

Polyethylene wax & PVC

In the application of PVC products, the lubrication and balance of polyethylene wax are the key.

PVC is fully known as PVC. Its viscous flow temperature is very close to the degradation temperature, and it is easy to degrade in various forms during processing, thus losing its use performance. Therefore, heat stabilizers and lubricants must be added to the formula of PVC mixed ingredients. The former improves its thermal stability, and the latter reduces the friction between PVC molecular chains and the film removal force between PVC melt and metal, so as to improve the convenience of processing PVC into various products.

Polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax are common lubricants in PVC.

At present, in addition to synthetic polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax, paraffin wax, Fischer Tropsch wax and by-product wax are also widely used in PVC. They also need to be flexibly matched according to terminal applications.

Lubricants also need to be added to the commonly used engineering plastics PA6, PA66, pet, PBT and PC to play the role of demoulding, improving flow or compatibilizer. Polar polyethylene wax and its derivatives usually need to be selected.

(1) For example, in PA6, internal lubricants such as esters are needed to improve the injection molding filling performance of materials;

(2) For example, if you need to improve the surface properties of PC products, you need to choose oxidized polyethylene wax, which can improve the demoulding properties of products;

(3) For example, in the glass fiber reinforced PA66 material, if you want to eliminate the problem of surface floating fiber, you can add maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene to increase the interfacial compatibility between glass fiber and PA66

Of course, when choosing different polyethylene wax varieties, we should also take into account the characteristics of temperature resistance, particle morphology and so on.

In addition, polyethylene wax can also provide interfacial compatibility in filling or reinforcing modified materials.

Although polyethylene wax is a niche product, it has a wide range of varieties and applications. Different applications have different requirements for polyethylene wax, and the concerns also change.
