It is used as anti adhesion agent, release agent and hard rubber surface treatment agent in rubber industry.
The properties of EBS are white fine particles. The melting point of industrial products is 140-146.5 ℃ C, the density is 0.98g/cm3 (25 ℃ C), non-toxic, insoluble in water, stable to acid, alkali and water medium, but the powder has wettability above 80 ℃. It is insoluble in most common solvents such as ethanol, acetone and carbon tetrachloride at room temperature. It is soluble in Hot Chlorinated Hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents, but when the solvent is cooled, it precipitates or gels. The flash point is about 285 C. The United States, Japan and many other countries are licensed to manufacture food packaging materials.
Purpose of EBS
Application of EBS in plastic processing because there are polar amide groups in EBS molecules, EBS has processing lubrication and low-temperature anti sticking effect on polymer resins. Application in rubber processing EBS can be used as lubricant, anti adhesion agent, release agent, filler surface modifier and surface treatment agent of hard rubber in rubber processing. Its outstanding performance is to improve the surface gloss of rubber plate, rubber hose and other products and play the role of surface brightener. Use in casting when casting the shell, EBS can be added as lubricant in the mixture of resin and sand.
Application in metal processing when drawing iron wire, the use of EBS can improve the wire drawing speed, prolong the service life of metal mold and improve the smoothness of iron wire surface. In addition, in powder metallurgy molding, EBS is used for bonding before metal melting, and EBS is used as the lubricant of metal mold, which can reduce the wear of metal mold. Paper coating 1% EBS can improve the brightness of paper coating. Because of its high melting point, it does not decompose during heat sealing operation. This paper can be used for food packaging. In the coating industry, EBS can be used as pigment grinding aid and dispersant. Other EBS can be used as the melting point improver of petroleum products. Adding EBS to adhesives and waxes has the effect of anti caking and good demoulding. Adding EBS to asphalt can increase the softening point, reduce the viscosity and improve the corrosion resistance to water or acid. Adding EBS to the paint remover can improve the properties of the wax layer.
EBS as polyoxymethylene lubricant has good application effect. The result is that the addition of 0.5% EBS to polyoxymethylene improves the melt flow rate and demoulding performance, and the whiteness, thermal stability and physical indexes of polyoxymethylene reach the indexes of high-grade products.
EBS is applied to the soft PVC water belt, the processing current is reduced by 8-10A, the power consumption is saved, and the effect of film-forming opening is improved.
