What is EVA wax?
Produced using copolymerization of ethylene with the polar co-monomer vinyl acetate, EVA waxes offer good compatibility, flexibility and surface adhesion. EVA-copolymer waxes offer good compatibility, flexibility and surface adhesion.

Features of EVA Wax
These properties enable our products to provide important functions, including:
● Lubricating – EVA wax offering both internal and external lubrication due to decreased friction
● Wetting and dispersing – low viscosity enables EVA wax to wet pigments or additives easily, resulting in higher dispersion quality
● Surface modifying – for improved hydrophobing, sealing, smoothness, gloss, matting, slip, anti-blocking, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and mar resistance in coatings and printing inks
● Retention / rheology – to produce pastes for polishes or adjust rheological properties in coating formulations
● Release / parting – inert, non-sticky films formed and used as mould release agents
● Viscosity adjustment – reduction of viscosity to assist final product processing.
Specific functions of EVA waxes:
● Adhesiveness – useful in improving stickiness
● Compatibilizer – for use in formulations with ingredients of different polarity
● Wetting & dispersing – especially for hard-to-disperse polar pigments & additives
● Flexibility – for increased mechanical stability or processability in some compounds
● Anti-slip agent – for use in floor polishes (emulsion of VISCOWAX® 453).

EVA wax Application
Areas where eva wax is used : Paint production, rubber industry, automoti̇ve industry, packaging industry, cable industry.
▲ In ink formulations, ethylene vinyl acetate wax can be used to control rheology characteristics. They are also used to modify surface properties such as the coefficient of friction, water resistance, slip & mar, abrasion resistance, block resistance, and gloss.
▲ In coatings formulations, EVA wax can be used to control rheology characteristics, improve pigment suspension, and optimize metal flake orientation. They are also used to modify surface properties such as the coefficient of friction, water resistance, slip & mar, abrasion resistance, block resistance, and gloss.
▲ In adhesives formulations, EVA copolymer wax are used to lower melt viscosity (hot melt adhesives), improve adhesion, enhance compatibility, increase heat resistance, improve green strength, control oil and plasticizer bleed, reduce processing and set times
▲ In plastics applications, Sainuo EVA wax are used to lower die head pressures, increase overall lubricity and metal release, lower melt temperatures, and increase gloss. They are also utilized in color masterbatch applications to increase pigment loading, promote uniform pigment dispersion, broaden pigment/filler compatibility, and increase chroma.
