1. Polyethylene wax & color masterbatch

Homopolymer polyethylene wax is mainly used in polyolefin color masterbatch, including polyethylene color masterbatch, polypropylene color masterbatch and EVA color masterbatch, and plays the role of dispersing pigments and fillers.

Homopolymer polyethylene wax from different production routes also has some differences in the application of color masterbatch.

Generally, customers can choose different kinds of polyethylene wax according to the terminal application.

If it is used in garbage bags, garbage cans, plastic films, etc., polyethylene wax or cracked polyethylene wax as by-product shall be selected;

Therefore, heat stabilizer and lubricant must be added into the formula of PVC mixing ingredients. The former improves its thermal stability, while the latter reduces the friction between PVC molecular chains and the film stripping force between PVC melt and metal, so as to improve the convenience of processing PVC into various products.

Polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax are common lubricants in PVC.

At present, in addition to synthetic polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax, paraffin wax, fischer-tropsch wax and by-product wax are also widely used in PVC, and they also need to be flexibly matched according to terminal applications.

3. Polyethylene wax & engineering plastics

In common engineering plastics PA6, PA66, PET, PBT and PC, lubricants are also needed to play the role of demoulding and improve the flow or compatibilizer, and polar polyethylene wax and its derivatives are usually required.

(1) For example, in PA6, if it is necessary to improve the injection-molding property of materials, it is necessary to use internal lubricants such as esters

(2) For example, if it is necessary to improve the surface properties of products made of PC materials, oxidized polyethylene wax should be selected, which can improve the release property of products

(3) For example, in the glass fiber reinforced PA66 material, if you want to eliminate the problem of floating fiber on the surface, add maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene, which can increase the interfacial compatibility between glass fiber and PA66

Of course, when selecting different types of polyethylene wax, we should also take into account the characteristics of temperature resistance and particle morphology.

In addition, polyethylene wax can also provide interface compatibility in filling or reinforcing modified materials.
