The aluminate coupling agent has the characteristics of large reaction activity with inorganic powder surface, light color, non-toxic, small taste, high thermal decomposition temperature and convenient use. In the PVC filling system, aluminate coupling agent has good thermal stability synergy effect and certain wetting and plasticizing effect. Therefore, aluminate coupling agents are widely used in various inorganic fillers, pigments and flame retardants.

Sainuo aluminate coupling agent is widely used in the addition and surface activation of organic and inorganic powders such as color masterbatch, filler, plastics, rubber additives, adhesives, etc. Various modified inorganic condiments treated with aluminate coupling agent form an organic long-chain molecular layer on their surface due to chemical or physical chemical action, thus changing from hydrophilicity to lipophilicity. The control test shows that the oil absorption value decreases and the volume decreases, so it can improve the processing performance, increase the filling amount of fillers and improve the comprehensive performance of products when used in plastic, rubber or paint products.

Method of use of aluminate coupling agent

In recent years, liquid and water-soluble products and new products with grinding and modification functions have been developed successively after the paste products, so the dosage of aluminate coupling agent is generally 0.1% - 2.0% of the mass of modified powder. For injection or extrusion molded plastic hard products, the dosage is about 1.0% of the filler mass. The amount of products, soft products and foaming products formed by other processes is 0.3% - 0.5% of the filler mass. Ultra-fine and high specific surface area fillers, such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and silica, can be used by 1.0% - 2.0%. 

During dry modification, it can be directly added to the powder to be modified after heating and melting, and the modification temperature is generally 80-120 ℃; During wet modification, water-soluble aluminate coupling agent shall be selected or added after ammonification or emulsification of insoluble aluminate coupling agent.

In order to improve the application effect of modified powder, aluminate coupling agent can also be used in combination with other surface modifiers, such as stearic acid.
