Calcium Zinc Stabilizer is a non-toxic heat stabilizer synthesized by a special composite process with calcium salts, zinc salts, lubricants, antioxidants, and other main components. It is an important additive for thermosensitive polymer materials such as PVC, PVDC, PCTFE, CPVC, chloroprene rubber, etc., used to prevent or delay their thermal degradation.

Sainuo OPE wax 802 is a homopolymer of oxidized polyethylene, with low acid value and both internal and external lubrication functions. It is widely used in PVC products as a stabilizer, with an addition amount of 0.3-0.6% for PVC and 2-5% for stabilizer;

Mechanism of Action of Calcium Zinc Stabilizer

1. It can replace the active groups in the polymer chain (such as the chlorine atom at the allyl position in PVC) to obtain a more stable polymer, thereby eliminating the source of dehydrochlorination in the polymer material and reducing the possibility of initiating dehydrochlorination reactions.

2. It can quickly capture the detached hydrogen chloride and inhibit its automatic catalytic effect.

So what is the role of oxidized polyethylene wax in calcium zinc stabilizers? In the processing and manufacturing process of various soft and hard PVC products, not only heat stabilizers but also lubricants are required. Calcium has poor lubricity, so it is necessary to add wax additives to improve the lubrication effect of the product.

The performance improvement of oxidized polyethylene wax on calcium zinc stabilizer is as follows:

1. Oxidized polyethylene wax molecules contain functional groups such as groups, which can enhance the thermal stability of Ca/Zn stabilizers;

2. It can improve compatibility with PVC, reduce frosting, improve printability and heat sealing;

3. It can promote plasticization and improve the flowability of PVC materials;

4. It has excellent lubrication effect and endows rolling, extrusion, injection, and blow molding equipment with good metal demolding performance.
